Upper Back Tattoos - A World Of Options

If you would like to have a large tattoo done you won't find a better canvas than your upper back.  This is the most wide open space on your body and lends itself to a vast amount of creativity and numerous options.  You can even have an entire scene inked across your back in as much detail as you want—and can afford.  There is no concept or design that won't work well on upper back tattoos.  There are other advantages to getting upper back tattoos, as well such as not having to worry about them showing at work.  As long as you wear a shirt your tats are your own personal business.

Another positive about upper back tattoos is that they are less painful than many other places on the body.  The thicker skin, fat content and musculature lend themselves to a more comfortable tattooing experience than other locations.  That is not to say that they don't hurt, mind you, just to say that it could be worse!  Upper back tattoos are also less prone to infection than most other commonly tattooed areas, so that's a real plus.  You still have to use proper aftercare, but reducing the risk of infection is an important consideration.

One of the many nice things about upper back tattoos is that you are in control of how much exposure they get.  Put on a shirt and they don't exist.  Guys can take the shirt off and ladies can wear a tank top or halter top and make a dramatic statement to the world.  Being able to control when and where to show your tattoos is a real benefit that can allow you to master any social environment and maintain gainful employment while still being able to express yourself with a beautiful work of ink on your body.

No matter where you decide to get a tattoo it is a good idea to follow one simple rule: think before you ink.  You have to live with this tattoo for the rest of your life and you want to make sure that it is something you are going to be happy with.  Also, use the "think before you ink" motto when choosing your tattoo artist.  Make sure they have experience, use the proper hygienic procedures and tattoo in a style you are comfortable with.  A little research and preparation now can save you a lifetime of unhappiness later.
