| A Ring Finger Tattoo Instead Of A Ring?
|
| |
For many people getting a ring finger tattoo is a much more practical choice than wearing a wedding band to signify to others that they are married. Many times men don't wear a wedding ring, much to the chagrin of their spouses, because doing so is unsafe in their line of work. Electricians, carpenters and other craftsmen who work with power tools or in the building trades may be far safer and better off choosing a ring finger tattoo instead of wearing a wedding ring. This would allow them to let the world know they are married without the risk or electrocution or having their finger chopped off at work.
Sometimes people get a ring finger tattoo just because wearing a ring is uncomfortable for them, but they want some type of ornamentation on their fingers to show off a nice manicure or like the men above, to show that they are married. A ring finger tattoo can be designed like a rind that goes around the entire finger or just as a design that sits on top the finger below the knuckle. Some women like to wear their ring finger tattoo just below the knuckle along with a pretty ring to help draw attention to the big rock they are sporting. Ring finger tattoos, just like every other kind of tattoos are all about expressing yourself and there is no right or wrong way to do it.
Unlike a traditional wedding ring, the ring finger tattoo can't be slipped off to provide a context for a moment of indiscretion and provides a constant visible reminder to the wearer and anyone they meet of the commitment they have made to their spouse through the vows of marriage. This is one of the many benefits of a ring finger tattoo. On the other hand, ring finger tattoos are permanent and too many marriages in this day and age aren't, so this may be an issue should the marriage go the way that at least half of them do and end in divorce. Perhaps if people thought about the seriousness of forever a little longer they would make better decisions in life partners and in getting ring finger tattoos. Forever is a long time and a serious commitment to make, so consider the consequences carefully before diving into a marriage or a tattoo. If only all marriages could last as long as tattoos, what a difference that could make. |
